Facebook's Perfectly Timed, Perfectly Targeted Mother's Day Flowers.


Facebook rolled out the purple flower icon; it's newest experimental reaction button called "thankful". The timing couldn't have been more perfect and the message was targeted at the gender that uses it the most. On Mother's Day it rained Purple flowers just for me.

I am a facebook fan and have been from day one. I remember when people in the office actually said: "it's just a fad". I am happy to tell them that not only is it the best thing that ever happened to me and my family; who lives in 5 different countries but it's such a clever marketing tool. It is not obscene and menacing but thankful and sweet.
